What is indicated by 10 tooth splines?

A new propeller will only fit if the number of ´splines´ or teeth on your propeller shaft are the same as the
number of splines on the propeller. When selecting your sterndrive or outboard in our shop, it will automatically select the propellers with the right number of splines for you. Before ordering, it is still wise to check whether it actually matches with your current propeller shaft.
